Biography
My passion for music started when I was eight years old, in my hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. I distinctly remember getting a digital mini keyboard for Christmas, and I would sit & whole-heartedly enjoy watching the keys light up as the pre-recorded music would play. I started playing clarinet in middle school band, and I became more & more interested in the creation & variety of different styles of music.
About halfway through my junior year in high school, I became deeply interested & fascinated by the orchestra and cinematic music. And from there, I began writing & producing my own cinematic pieces.
I’m currently pursuing a Music Composition degree with a piano concentration at Belmont University. I have and am currently studying under excellent composers such as Dr. Mark Volker, Dr. Tony Moreira, & Jay Weigel, who have played a vital role to increase my knowledge and skillset as a composer.
Musical Style & Influences:
My music is influenced by genres such as classical, impressionistic, cinematic, and sound design. I draw inspiration from composers such as John Powell, Thomas Bergersen & Maurice Ravel whose masterful orchestrations and compositions have deeply impacted by understanding of structured composition and lush harmony. I am particularly drawn to creating massive “walls of sound” and designing colorful & emotional textures with the orchestra. I aim to create music that stands not only by itself, but music in which one can imagine a painting or storyline by hearing it.
